Henri Comte

Peacefully at the Foyer Notre-Dame on February 4, 2025, Henri Comte passed away at the age of 83 years.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Marie-Anne Comte (née Sarrasin) and his children, Fernand (Cécile Vuignier) Comte, Carole (Stephen) Hay, Henriette (André) Badiou, Réal (Belinda) Comte, Jeanne (Martial) Audet and Liette Comte; his grandchildren, Mathieu, Patrick, Mélinne (Spencer), Joel, Daniel (Katrina), Lucette (Nicholas), Claude (Caitlin), Justin (Morgan), Josée, Stéphane (Brandon), Katrina (Kirk), Jo-Lynne and Miguel (Aimee); and his great grandchildren Adaline and Blake. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Auguste (Frances) Comte, Agnès (Edwin) Geisel and Rose-Marie (Bruce) Coram along with his brothers and sisters in-laws, Emelie Comte, Olive Comte, Donna Comte, Rita (David) Sabourin, Denise Gagnon, Philippe Sarrasin, Félix (Adèle) Sarrasin, Rose-Marie (Gérald) Delorme, Lionel Dupuis and Louise Sarrasin and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Henri was predeceased by his parents Jean-Baptiste and Germaine Comte (née Labossière), his brothers and sisters, Marcel Comte, Charles (Albina) Comte, Gabriel (Gertrude) Comte, Hubert Comte, Cécile Sarrasin, Thérèse (Lucien) Bilodeau, Louis Comte and Andrée Comte as well as by his parents in-law Ovide and Marie-Flore Sarrasin (née Fillion) and by his brothers and sisters in-laws Denis Sarrasin, Arcade (Georgina) Sarrasin, Céline (Joseph) Beaudry, Lucie Dupuis, Aurèle Gagnon, Cécile Sarrasin, Noël Sarrasin, Ambroise Sarrasin, Fernand Sarrasin, Léon (Marie) Sarrasin, Ovila Sarrasin and Irène (Edouard) St. Vincent.

Henri found joy in life’s simple pleasures, especially in the outdoors. Whether hunting, working on machinery, or enjoying a 7-Up while relaxing outside, he always felt at peace. Above all, his greatest love was his wife and his family. He took pride in working alongside his children and grandchildren on the farm, a place he truly cherished. Henri’s happiness came from spending time with loved ones, whether playing cards, watching sports, or sharing stories. He taught those around him the values of respect, hard work, and above all, patience. A man of quiet wisdom and strength, Henri leaves behind a lasting legacy of love and devotion.

A Private Funeral Service will be held. Everyone is invited to view the Service on Monday, February 10, 2025 at 1:45 PM

Henri a été précédé par ses parents Jean-Baptiste et Germaine Comte (née Labossière), ses frères et sœurs, Marcel Comte, Charles (Albina) Comte, Gabriel (Gertrude) Comte, Hubert Comte, Cécile Sarrasin, Thérèse (Lucien) Bilodeau, Louis Comte et Andrée Comte ainsi que par ses beaux-parents Ovide et Marie-Flore Sarrasin (née Fillion) et par ses frères. et belles-sœurs Denis Sarrasin, Arcade (Georgina) Sarrasin, Céline (Joseph) Beaudry, Lucie Dupuis, Aurèle Gagnon, Cécile Sarrasin, Noël Sarrasin, Ambroise Sarrasin, Fernand Sarrasin, Léon (Marie) Sarrasin, Ovila Sarrasin et Irène (Edouard) St. Vincent.
