Henri A. Painchaud
Peacefully at the St. Boniface Hospital on Thursday, December 11, 2008, Mr. Henri Painchaud of Notre Dame de Lourdes, Manitoba passed away at the age of 76 years.
He leaves to mourn his loving wife Marguerite (née Pilloud); six children: Anita (Ted) Klassen, Lucille (Louis) Souque, Andre Painchaud, Claire (Robert) Tetreault, Rene (Micheline), Lise (Thomas) Crawford and their mother Juliette (nee LeClerc); 15 grandchildren: Vanessa, Amos, Joshua, Christopher, Nicole, Janine, Luc, Rheal, Leanne, Monique, Richard, Christine, Jacqueline, Sarah, Mathew; four great-grandchildren: Shae-Lynn, Jacob, Jeremiah and Peter; five brothers: Emile (Florence), Maurice (Rita), Gilles (Aline), Noel (Doris), Lorrain (Elva); and numerous inlaws, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by one son Michel in 2008; and by one sister Raymonde (Jules).
Henri was born August 15, 1932 and was raised in the Fannystelle area. He grew up on the farm and was the oldest son of a family of seven children. He farmed all his life, but his true passion was his repair shop. Upon his retirement he became known for his woodworking. His retreats were at his camper finding peace in his fishing trips. He enjoyed and spent much time with his wife, children and grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by his family and many friends.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Fannystelle Roman Catholic Church on Tuesday, December 16, 2008 at 2 p.m. with Father John McKenzie officiating. Interment to follow in the Parish Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 200-6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6.
