Henri Picton

HENRI PICTON July 28, 1957 – May 15, 2022

It is with sorrow that we said goodbye to Henri on May 15, 2022, at the Lorne Memorial Hospital in Swan Lake.  Henri will be greatly missed by his daughter Stephanie, his father, Edmond Picton, his siblings, Paul Picton and Tammy (Gillen), Suzanne Picton-Wallcraft, Thérèse (Picton) and Chris Buick, Marc Picton and Tracy (Peterson), Diane (Picton) and Charles Martel. Henri was blessed to have many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly: (Paul) Jake, Allison, Isaac, Audrey, (Suzanne) Brian, Elyssa, Taylor, Parker, Paula, Robin, Sophie, Finley, (Therese) Allan, Lauren, Laila, Ronan, Sam, Megan, Charlotte, (Marc) Anthony, (Diane) Christian, Sylvain, Lyndsi, Lucie, Colin, Brittany, Vincent, Kristin and Liv.  Henri leaves behind many cousins and friends who also cared deeply for him. He will be missed and remembered by many.

Henri is now enjoying coffee in heaven with his mother, Gilberte Massinon (2005), his brother-in-law Keith Wallcraft (2010), his grandparents, Michel and Anaïs Picton, Maurice and Esther (Roy) Massinon, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Henri’s family would like to thank the staff at Boundary Trails Cancer Care unit and Lorne Memorial Hospital, for the wonderful care he received. This last step of his journey was not an easy one, but Henri had a way of making the most of it. His favorite thing to do was to relentlessly tease the nurses.

Henri’s Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2022, at the St. Leon Catholic Church at 3 p.m. followed by Mass. We are inviting all Henri’s biking friends to meet the family at 2:45 at the St. Leon Community Hall to accompany Henri on his last ride to the church.
