Irene Scott
Peacefully at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on November 10, 2023, our Mom passed away as we were holding her hands, at the age of 70 years.
She leaves to mourn her children, Rhonda (Randy), Neil (Sharon), Melanie (Robbie), Robin, Samantha (Sherrold) and Cheryl; her special grandchildren, Lesley, Marissa, Desiree, Raven, Alyssa, Taylor, Thomas, Gabriel, Clifford, Ashtyn and Erica, as well as Israel, Darin, Lynda, Aja, Johnnie, Karmin, Haleigh, Ash-leigh, Chelsea, Gene, Ramsey, Sheldon and Jeffrey; her 27 great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild Ryleigh Scott.
She was predeceased by her husband Clifford, her parents Patrick and Mary Jane Deschamp and her siblings.
Our Mother Irene Cecelia Deschamp was born on June 28th, 1953 in Dunseith, North Dakota. Her parents, Patrick and Mary Jane raised her along with her 8 siblings on a farm with the help of her grandmother Rose Coming Voice. By the age of 6 she was taken to Wahpeton Indian School. There she developed a strong faith for the Lord and would teach us to have that faith. After attending school, she met her husband, Clifford Scott. Mom moved with her husband to Swan Lake, Manitoba in 1970 and would go on to raise their 6 kids. As a mother she was gentle, caring, humble and patient. She would love to dance, cook, and go on drives in the valley with Dad and also, travelling to tent meetings on merely faith. Mom loved to spend a lot of her time visiting family and valued those moments. Mom is loved by so many and will be greatly missed.
