It is with great sadness that we announce that Jean has passed from this life to take his rightful place in Heaven. Peacefully at the Centre de Santé Notre-Dame on Monday, November 12, 2018, at the age of 91 years.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Mathilde (née Hacault); his children, Lucille (Gerard), Richard (Leeann), Lorraine (Angus), Rita (Lori), Jacqueline (Michael), Lynne (Kevin) and Normand (Sandra); his grandchildren Janine, Rhéal (Laura), Luc (Crystal), Anita (Sean), Kyle (Vicky), Colin (Monique), Brett, Dana (Ryan), Connor, Preston, Spencer, TJ (Melissa),Conrad (Karla), Nikki (Joe) and Sarah (Greg); his great-grandchildren Dylan, Kristin, Kyla, Nathalie, Chloe, Cashton, Paige, Canaan, Hailey, Kadence, Cheyenne and Tucker. He also will be fondly remembered by his siblings and in-laws, Marie (Andre) Godard, Yvette (Armand) Hacault, Tharsile (Leonard) Foidart, Henriette (Elmer) Mauws, Noel Fifi, Frances Fifi, Angele Fifi, Louise (Achille) De Spiegelaere, Julie Foidart, Jeanne Fiola, Germaine Hacault, Lucien (Simone) Hacault, Michael Solodiuk, Gaston (Heather) Hacault and Emile (Sylvie) Hacault, as well as numerous nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

He will be welcomed in Heaven by his parents Henri and Jeanne (née Baccus) Fifi, his daughter Marie Jeanne Irma, his grandson in-law Gary Smart, brothers Fr. Adolphe, Hubert, Armand, and George, his in-laws Hubert (Marie), Anna (Simon) Foidart, Adolphe Foidart, Msgr Antoine Hacault, Celine (Maurice) Tack, Benoit (Monica) Hacault, Louis Fiola, Jean (Odile) Hacault, Joe Suchard, Dorothée Solodiuk, Michel (Patricia) Hacault and Roland Hacault.

Funeral services will be held in the St. Claude Roman Catholic Church on Friday, November 16, 2018.  Prayers and eulogy at 10:30 am followed by Funeral Mass at 11:00 am with Father Louis Legare officiating.  Interment will take place after Mass at the St. Claude Parish Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
