Peacefully at the Notre Dame Foyer on Monday, May 12, 2014, Mr. Jean Mabon of Notre Dame de Lourdes, Manitoba passed away at the age of 88 years.
He leaves to mourn his passing his loving wife Alice (née Chabbert) and 6 children: Lillian Mabon, Gérald (Claudia), Robert (Geraldine), Evelyne Mabon, Jeannine (Murray) Skayman and René (Bonnie) Mabon; 13 grandchildren: Annick (Trevor Beaudet), Joline (Tony) Nostedt, Joel (Danelle Hueging), Eric (Amy) Kester-Mabon, Lisa (Tyler Devaney), Danièle, Nathalie, Nicole (Aaron) Ludvigson, Stephanie (Brandin) Wilkinson, Darcy, Michel, David and Nicholas; 8 great-grandchildren: Cameron, Finn, Henry, Logan, Mattie, Reggie, Colden and Nyla. He also leaves to mourn his brother George (Jeanne) Mabon, sister-in-law Julie Mabon and Alice’s family: Lou Lou (Colombe) Chabbert and Laurette McGreevy as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Jean was predeceased by his parents Julien and Jeanne Mabon, three brothers: Marcel (Juliette), Pierre and André Mabon.
Prayers will be held at Adam’s Funeral Home on Thursday, May 15, 2014 at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Notre Dame Roman Catholic Church on Friday, May 16, 2014. Rosary and Video Tribute at 1:30 p.m. followed by Mass at 2 p.m. with Father Armand Le Gal officiating. Family Interment to follow in the Parish Cemetery.
