Jean Senecal
It is with heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Jean Senecal, with his family at his side, on Saturday, June 13, 2020 at the Portage and District General Hospital.
Jean was born July 1st, 1937 on a small farm west of the Parish of St. Eustache. Jean spent his entire life proudly farming on the family farm. Jean was always active in the community. He played for the Western Five for a number of years and was a spare school bus driver.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 55 years, Leonie (née MacMillan), his children, Rick (Judy) Senecal, Claudette (Bob) Glover and Dani (Grant) Forness and his grandchildren, Teesha and Randy Senecal, Reanne Glover and Shae and Brynn Forness. Jean is also survived by his siblings, Edna, Henri, Emma and Claire, mother in-law Rita MacMillan, in-laws, Henriette, Dolorès, Greta, Ron (Midge), Gerald, Lynne (Ken), Murielle, Laurie (Ron) and Michael along with numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Jean is predeceased by his parents Alphonse and Ida Senecal,his brothers and sisters, Adélard, Léon (Hortense), René, Oscar (Wanda), George, Lucille (Roger) Bruneau, Aimé (Florence, Anne), Hélène (Gustave) Laramée and Denise; his father-in-law Rolland MacMillan and in-laws, George Alain, Lucienne, Yvette, Frank Le Sann, Ted Filiatrault, Al Halpape, Mark MacMillan and Diane MacMillan.
A Private Funeral Service will be held at the St. Eustache Catholic Church.
