Jenny was predeceased by her loving husband Michel; sister Denise (Lucien) Lecocq; her DeJaegher family, Henri (Annie)(Rachel), Maurice (Vida), Aime (Clara), Laurent, Adrien (JoAnne), Marguerite (Leon); sons-in-laws William Fehr and Remi Messner; and twin granddaughters Cheryl and Charleen Messner.
Jenny, the first-born daughter of Dominicus and Adrienne DeWulf, was born in Belgium on March 31, 1925. At the age of 2, Jenny and her parents made the voyage across the Atlantic and emigrated to Canada. They moved to the Swan Lake area, and she attended St. Albain’s School until grade nine before joining the workforce. In 1941 she met the love of her life, Mike and the two courted until they married in 1945. Together they took up farming and raised their three children Larry, Linda and Sharon in the Kingsley District. Mike and Jenny continued to farm and watch the family grow and expand until 1988 when they decided to retire and move to Somerset. They enjoyed travelling and visited friends and family in Belgium. After Mike’s passing in 2009, her Somerset Manor friends became her second family.
Jenny enjoyed many hobbies, including bingo, puzzles, coloring and playing cards. She was a skilled baker and loved sharing her home baked goods with her loved ones and friends.
Like Mike, Jenny was young at heart. She had a zest for life and wanted to live it to the fullest. To her, that meant spending time with her family and dear friends. Jenny loved her family and enjoyed cooking for them, spending time and playing games with them. She adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and cherished their visits.
