Julia Dobush

August 2, 1936 - May 8, 2022

Julia passed away peacefully in her home, in St. Claude, Manitoba on May 8, 2022 at the age of 85 years.

She was predeceased by her parents, Antony and Katherine Dobush; by her siblings and their spouses, John (Dolly), Bill (Dorothy), Walter (Marie Ange), Ed (Irene), Stella (Mike), Jessie (Ted) and Mary (Les) as well as by her niece Arleen and nephews, Kenny, Brian and Daniel.  Julia was also predeceased by her roommates Judy Galbraith and Jeannine Tremorin.

Julia will be lovingly remembered by her brother Bob (Dorothy) Dobush, her many nieces, nephews, cousins and especially by her extended family at Visions of Independence.   Julia will also be missed by her roommates, Corwin Reimer, Ivy Franklin, Emilie Cassels, and Ricky Mcbride and all the staff who knew and supported Julia both in St. Claude and Portage La Prairie.  Julia will also be lovingly missed by her cat Bobby.

Julia became skilled at sanding furniture at A.R.C. Industries. In her retirement Julia enjoyed music, making crafts, and spending time outside.  Julia was part of the VOI seniors group and enjoyed activities with her friends.

The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to all the people who supported Julia over the years.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Herman Prior Centre-Crocus Room, 40 Royal Rd N, Portage la Prairie, Manitoba on ­­­­­­­­Thursday, May 19, 2022 at 2:00 pm with Rev. John Blum officiating.

Interment will take place at a later date in the Ste. Marie Riverside Cemetery in Prawda, Manitoba.
