Kathleen (Kay) Magnusson
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Kay (Mum) on Tuesday, August 26, 2008 at the Goodwin Lodge in Teulon, Manitoba at the age of 96 years.
Mum was predeceased by her beloved husband Leo in 1959; by her parents and four brothers. Kay is survived by her daughters: Gail (Lorne) Van Achte, Maureen (Wilfed) Maskow; one son, John (Beryl) Magnusson; nine grandchildren: Blaine (Sharon) Van Achte, Kelly Van Achte (Annette), Scott (Kim) Van Achte, Kurt Maskow, Todd (Rose) Maskow, Trent Maskow, Jamie Magnusson, Jodi Magnusson, Mark Magnusson; and 10 great-grandchildren: Carmen and Derek Van Achte, Gregory and Bradley Van Achte, Nikki, Kelsey and Kaelin Van Achte, Dylan Maskow, Mary Maskow and Dario Magnusson. She also leaves to mourn one sister-in-law, Mari Ange Carman; and numerous nieces and nepews, relatives and friends.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Treherne Roman Catholic Church on Friday, August 29, 2008 at 2 p.m. with Father Ramon Zapata officiating. Interment to follow at Bethel Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Goodwin Lodge, Teulon, MB or a charity of one’s choice.
The family wishes to express a special thanks to the caring staff of Goodwin Lodge for the wonderful care given to Mum (Gramma) over the last four years.
