Kelly Scott

Kelly Scott of Swan Lake First Nation peacefully passed away at his residence and started his journey to the Spirit World on July 22, 2024, at the age of 66 years with his family by his side.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Florence French, his children, Shannon Lisa Scott, Kelly David French (Tabitha Cameron) and Curtis Ryan Scott (Erin Peters); his grandchildren, Tyson (Destiny), Tanisha (Chris), Marissa, Landon, Akelia, Kelly Jr., Deklan, Akeria and August Raine; his great grandchildren, Alex, Katherine, Phoenix, Poppy and Penny.  Also left to mourn are his mother Marina Scott, his brothers and sisters, Dennis (Alvina) Scott, Lorraine (Harold Sr.) Myerion, Mervin Scott (Norma McKinney), Faye McKinney, Glen Scott, Glenda McKinney and Lori Scott as well as his in-laws,  Alice McKinney, Alvina (Dennis) Scott, Kathy Walker, Thomas Walker, Judy (James) Steele, Carolyn, Brian (Angie) Walker, Shelley (Kevin) Hume, along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Kelly was predeceased by his father Arthur McKinney, his brothers and sisters, Raymond Scott, Sherri Scott,  Greg Scott and Kevin Scott; his son-in-law John Thorne, his grandson Johnnie Thorne, his parents in-law, Thomas Walker Sr. and Mary French and his brothers and sisters in-law, Tony Walker, Edward Walker and Agnes Foland.

A Traditional Wake will be held at the Swan Lake First Nation Community Hall on Thursday, July 25, 2024 at 4:00pm.  A Traditional Funeral Service will take place at the Swan Lake First Nation Community Hall on Friday, July 26, 2024 with a feast commencing at noon.  Interment will take place at the Indian Springs Cemetery with Dave Scott officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donation can be made to CancerCare Manitoba.
