Larry entered the Spirit World October 11, 2025 at his residence at Swan Lake First Nation.
He leaves to mourn his daughter Alex, one granddaughter Evelyn, brothers Lloyd (Linda) McKinney and Dewayne (Tammy) McKinney, sisters Marlene McKinney and Deana McKinney and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Larry was predeceased by his parents George and Maggie McKinney, his sister Elizabeth and nephews Dave, Ian and Blaine McKinney.
A Traditional Wake service will be held at Gaubiskiigamuag-Swan Lake First Nation Cultural Centre on Friday, October 17, 2025 at 4:00pm.
A Traditional Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025 with the feast commencing at 12 noon. Interment will follow at the Indian Springs Cemetery.
Officiating will be Elder Grant Cameron. Pallbearers will be Brent Meleck, Matthew McKinney, Garett McKinney, George Catcheway, Ron Swain and Roy Toupin. Honorary Pallbearers will be all nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
Our Brother Larry was a very humble man. Leading a life of simplicity, gentleness and patience. He loved his hockey. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
