Laurent Louis Joseph Girouard

It is with peaceful hearts that the family announces the passing of Laurent at the youthful age of 92.

Laurent was a patient, calm, even-tempered gentleman. His acts of polite kindness were appreciated by his family and all those who encountered him. His love was felt by all.

Laurent was predeceased by his wife of 44 years, Marie-Ange, his daughter Aline, grandson Jeremie and son-in-law John; his parents Cyprien and Elva Girouard, his brothers Norman (Lucille†) and Alex, and his sister Lorraine (Leo†).

Left to cherish his memories are his children: Muriel, Denis (Lorraine), Lucienne and Mario (Joanne). His grandchildren: Kristy, Free (Kaylee), Bernard (Vanessa), Jason (Amanda), Roxanne (Caven), Chantal (Ben), Stefan, Sonia (David), Pascal (Rhiannon), Raquel (Steven), Corinne, Janelle (Caleb) and Jamie. His great grandchildren: Jaxon, Jameson, Bentley, Liane, Alex, Brooks and Silyan. And his dear companion, Hélène. As well as his in-laws and nieces and nephews.

We are so grateful that you were our loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather. Thank you for everything! Give Mom/Mémère a big hug and a kiss! You will be deeply missed by family and friends. Pépère/Dad, may you rest in peace. ♡

A Celebration of Laurent’s Life will be held on Wednesday, October 7, 2026 at the Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church. Eulogy and Video at 1:30pm followed by Mass at 2:00pm with interment in the Parish Cemetery.
