Leda Messner

(nee Labossiere)

Peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer, Leda Messner of Altamont, Manitoba passed away at her residence on Tuesday June 1, 2004 at the age of 63 years.

She leaves to mourn her loving husband Gerald; 6 children: Rheal (Adele), Marilyn Brunel (Raynald), Alain Messner, Ronald (Annie), Lisa Bessette (Philip) and Serge Messner; 14 grandchildren: Jaclyn, Breanne, Michelle, Kaylene, Joanne, Jeremy, Melissa, Justin, Joey, Emma, Reilly, Shayla, Brenden and Noah; 2 daughters-in-law:  Jennifer and Bonnie. She also leaves to cherish her memory 2 sisters: Jeannette Hamel (Eugene) and Lucille Sabourin; 4 brothers: Tony (Elsie), Fernand (Jeannette), Florent (Alice) and Alain Labossiere; one brother-in-law Edmond Maranda; one sister-in-law Laurette Labossiere; and numerous nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by 2 brothers: Edouard and Cecil and by one sister Edith Maranda.

Prayers will be held at Adam's Funeral Home on Thursday June 3, 2004 at 7:30 p.m. followed by cremation. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Notre Dame de la Nativité Roman Catholic Church in Somerset, Manitoba on Friday June 4, 2004 at 2 p.m. with Father Celestin Malengu Mubaya officiating. Interment to follow in the Parish Cemetery at a later date.
