Lillian Rose Scott
On Saturday, February 8, 2014, Lillian Rose Scott of Swan Lake First Nation passed away very peacefully at the Notre Dame Hospital at the age 75 years.
Lillian will be sadly missed by her mother Rosie; her children Donnie (Bernice), Steven (Anne), Darlene, Morris (Heather), Norma, Travis (Trudy), Pam (Randy), Roxanne, Calvin (Fran), Nathan and RJ; her sisters Marina, Hazel, Joyce, Sandra (John), Elaine (Randy), Jana (Eddy Boy), Cheyenne and Doreen Tukundum; her brothers Wayne (Memory) and David; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, along with many relatives and friends.
Lillian was predeceased by her father Simon, an infant brother and brothers, Bob and Ronnie; step daughter Rhonda Sumner; aunties Kathleen Cameron, Elise, Mary Louise, Emma, and uncles William, Joseph, George, and David; and her special friend Norman Bird.
Lillian enjoyed her long evening drives with her sisters Hazel and Doreen and grandchildren. She loved to bead and make moccasins and mukluks, bingo, having tea outside, cooking for the community gatherings and her family. Most importantly, she loved spending time with her family. She was a long time volunteer in the community. Lillian was a very good story teller to her nieces. She always made everyone laugh and brightened up their days. She was a very traditional person and shared her knowledge and wisdom with her family and friends.
A Traditional Wake will be held at Swan Lake First Nation Hall on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. with Funeral Services on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. Interment to follow at the Indian Springs Cemetery.
