Our Mom left behind a legacy of love, dedication, and an unwavering sense of community. Born in Swan Lake and raised in the close-knit towns of Somerset and Bruxelles, Lorette's roots ran deep in the very fabric of her hometowns, where she and her children cultivated a lifetime of cherished memories and lifelong friendships.
Family was the cornerstone of Lorette's life. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and caregiver, always putting the needs of her loved ones above her own. Her nurturing spirit was evident not only in her professional life as a caregiver but also in the way she cared for her family, offering comfort, guidance, and unconditional love.
Lorette had a passion for life's simple pleasures. She delighted in the challenge of word searches and the thrill of scratch tickets, finding joy in each small victory. Her love for sports was well-known and deeply felt. Whether cheering on the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, the Winnipeg Jets, the Goldeyes baseball team, or her beloved Toronto Blue Jays, Lorette's enthusiasm was contagious. She also had a special place in her heart for curling, a sport that resonated with her love for both strategy and entertainment.
Lorette's life was a testament to the power of love, loyalty, and the joy of living fully. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she touched. As we remember Lorette, we celebrate a life well-lived and a woman who brought warmth, kindness, and a touch of fun to every day she graced.
