With heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Mrs. Lorette Devos of Bruxelles, Manitoba at the Brandon General Hospital on Monday, April 2, 2012, at the age of 77 years.
She leaves to mourn her passing her loving husband Louis of 53 years and their three children, Daryl (Diane) Devos, Louan (Daniel) Gladish and Derek (Sherri) Devos, eight grandchildren, Brannon and Tanner Devos, Jeremy, Kiara and Cameron Gladish, Kyle, Ryan and Tamara Devos. Lorette also leaves to mourn her brothers and sisters, Rachel De Smet, Adrienne (Marcel) De Meuleneire, Jules, Alex and Raymond Van Den Bossche, as well as Louis' family, Mary-Jane Bogaert, Roland (Pamela) Devos, Lillian (Gary) Rummery, Agnes (John) Simoens and Denis (Debra) Devos, along with many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Lorette was predeceased by her parents Maurice Van Den Bossche and Helen (nee De Vlieger), one sister-in-law Agnes Van Den Bossche; and by two bother-in-laws Camille De Smet and Marcel Bogaert.
Lorette was born April 13,1934 in Bruxelles, MB, attending Ste Marie School to grade 12 then attending Teachers College in Winnipeg and worked as a teacher until she married Louis on Oct 25th, 1958. Together they managed a dairy and grain farm along with raising their family. Lorette was a very kind giving person always willing to lend a hand. She enjoyed gardening, mending, knitting, canning, cooking, her little chicken farm and spending time with her family and friends, especially her precious grandchildren. She was very involved with the Bruxelles Parish and will be truly missed by all of us and who knew her.
Funeral Services will be held in the St. Gerard Catholic Church in Bruxelles, MB on Monday, April 9, 2012. Recitation of the Rosary at 10:30, Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. with Father John Te Nguyen officiating.
We will never forget you Mom and hold a special place for you in our hearts forever .
