With profound sadness the family of Lorraine Labossière announces her peaceful passing on Sunday, August 3, 2008 at the age of 64 years.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband Germain Labossière, her daughter Alice and son-in-law Albert Devloo, her son Robert, and her mother Éliza Guilbert. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren who were her pride and joy: Michelle (Luc) Bérard, Paul, Andrew, Bryan and Alexander Devloo.
She will also be sadly missed by her brother Gérald (Gisèle) Guilbert and her three sisters: Jeannine (Dennis) Sikich, Gisèle (Donald) Girouard and Vivianne (Henry) Heller.
She also leaves to mourn her passing three brothers-in-law: Norbert (Cécile) Labossière, Omer (Louise) Labossière, Rémi (Diane) Labossière, as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Lorraine was predeceased by her father Gérard Guilbert in 1985.
Lorraine was a quiet, unassuming, down-to-earth person who enjoyed gardening, cooking, crocheting and crafts. She faced the challenges of her liver disease with resolve and serenity, savouring special moments and enjoying the small things in life. Her humble demeanour and gentle ways will be greatly missed.
Special thanks to friends and family who were by her side, especially during the last few difficult years.
Prayers will be held at Adam’s Funeral Home on Thursday, August 7, 2008 at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Notre Dame de la Nativité Church in Somerset, Manitoba on Friday, August 8, 2008 at 2 p.m. with Father Gabriel Levesque officiating. Interment will follow in the Somerset Parish Cemetery.
