Peacefully at the Lorne Memorial Hospital on Tuesday February 17, 2004, Mrs. Lorraine Routhier of Somerset, Manitoba passed away at the age of 67 years.
She leaves to mourn her passing her beloved husband Irenée Routhier; 8 children: Michel Routhier (Cheryl), Richard Routhier (Pauline), Rosemarie Watson, Norma Gagnon (Maurice), Marcel Routhier (Kathy), Annette Gagnon, Roméo Routhier and René Routhier (Laura); 15 grandchildren: Marc, Daniel, Rebecca, Eric, Justine, Nicole, Robert, Kyle, Troy, Kathleen, Keith, Cindy, Nadine, Chantal and Ashley; and 1 great-grandchild: Braydon.
Mom will always be remembered for her love, kindness and generosity. She especially treasured her time with family and friends who also treasured her dearly. Even though mom was suffering through a courageous bout with diabetes, she always had a smile, a quick joke and a loving embrace.
We love you mom, wife, sister and mémère.
May God care for you as you did for us.
She was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Aurise Messner, her brother Gerard Messner, her sister Irène Carrière and by 2 brothers-in-law Albert Carrière and Ted Halbread.
With respect for Lorraine's wishes, viewing will be held on Friday for immediate family and specific invited guests only, with cremation to follow. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Notre-Dame de La Nativité Roman Catholic Church in Somerset, Manitoba on Saturday February 21, 2004 at 2 p.m. with Father Célestin Malengu Mubaya and Father Gérald Labossière officiating. Interment at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association of Canada (Winnipeg Chapter) and to the Palliative Care Unit in the Lorne Memorial Hospital, P.O. Box 40, Swan Lake, Mb R0G 2S0.
