Peacefully at the St. Claude Pavilion on Wednesday, January 5, 2011, Mr. Louis Dureault of Fannystelle, Manitoba passed away at the age of 91 years.

He leaves to mourn his passing his four children: Réal (Diane), Alain (Linda), Marc (Anne-Marie) and Nicole (Russ).  He was a special grandfather of Rémi (Carrie), Melissa, Sean, Julie, Rachelle, Richard, Jérémie, Joelle, Wade, Morgan, Breanna and great grandkids Brodey, Jayden and Paige.  Also left to cherish his memory is one sister Germaine Perreault.

Louis was predeceased by his wife Aline (née Syrenne), grandson Daniel Dureault,

parents Ovide and Berthe Dureault, sisters: Gertrude, Cécile and Armande; brothers: Aimé, Roland, Arthur, Jules and Benoit.

Ti’Bi was born and raised in Fannystelle where he farmed all his life.  He married Aline on February 19, 1955 and together they raised four children.  Louis remained a farmer at heart, always enjoying a car ride so he could ‘crop inspect’.  He always liked to tinker with gadgets and spend time in the yard.  Louis lived to play and win at a good game of crib, casino voleur and the many rounds he played of solitaire (Bité le diable).  He also spent hours trying to solve brain teasers.  He will be sadly missed by his many friends and family.

Special thanks to all the staff at the St. Claude Pavilion for their love and constant care. Pépère felt at home there and he will be remembered for his sense of humour.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Sacred Heart Church, in Fannystelle on Saturday, January 8, 2011 at 11 a.m. with viewing prior to Mass.  Interment to follow in the Parish Cemetery with Father Maurice Jeanneau officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Fannystelle Sacred Heart Church Renovation Fund Box 67, Fannystelle, MB R0G 0P0.
