Lucas Remy Sanders

Peacefully at his residence, on Wednesday, February 1, 2017, Lucas Sanders passed away surrounded by his family, at the age of 40 years.

He is survived by his wife, Irene (née Sanders) and their six children, Aidan, Riley, Jake, Zack, Markus and Ben. Also left to mourn are his parents Jozef and Denise Sanders; one brother Peter Sanders (Susanne), two sisters, Mary Phillips (Garry) and Anna-Marie Smith (Jeff).

Also special in his life was Irene’s family, her mother Freeda Sanders; nine siblings, Paul Sanders (Michelle), Rachel Pimentel (Emanuel), Denise Lavergne (Darcy), Anita Pinette (Ian), Grace Griffith (Justin), Karl Sanders (Laurie), Adeena Manness (Graeme), Lorraine Hamblin (David) and Yvette Lafreniere (Colin); as well as numerous, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Lucas was predeceased by his father-in-law Michel Sanders.

Prayers will be held at the St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church in Manitou, MB on Friday, February 3 , 2017 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the St. Martin of Tours Roman Catholic Church in Swan Lake, MB on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 11 a.m. with Father Ramiel Alvarez, Father John Te Nguyen, Father Lionel Thibault and Father Ryszard Machura officiating. Interment in the Manitou Parish Cemetery followed by lunch at the St. Léon Community Hall.
