Lucie was born September 23, 1945 and raised on the farm near Somerset. She attended the Richard School where her love of music and education was nurtured. After graduating from Somerset Collegiate she continued her education by obtaining her teachers certificate and taught in Notre Dame and Treherne.

Lucie married the love of her life, Donald, on August 6, 1966. They began their married life together in Treherne where they soon started their family. In 1970,they purchased the farm near Somerset where they raised their family. Even with a hectic farming lifestyle and Donald working carpentry, her dedication to her family was evident through her countless hours spent at rinks, Sunday beach outings, camping trips, holidays and numerous family gatherings.

As her children ventured out onto their own, Donald and Lucie more frequently enjoyed leisure time traveling and camping with friends and family. In 1999, together they designed and built their new home in Somerset where home-made meals, card games, boisterous conversations and laughter could always be found. Attending her grandchildren’s activities such as hockey, music festivals, baseball games and school performances, provided her with great pride and joy. Lucie was actively involved in the community where she spent countless hours volunteering in many organizations such as: Filles d’Isabelle; Comité culturel de Somerset; Somerset History book to name a few.  She will be sadly missed by her family and many friends.
