Peacefully at Boundary Trails Health Centre on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, Mr. Lucien Vaillant passed away at the age of 89 years.

He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Yvonne (Eugène), Roger (Hughena), Noël (Pam), Louis, Paul (Jodi) and Robert (Louise); his grandchildren, Cynthia Doerksen (Fred), Sharon Bazin (Fred), Christine Bazin, Micheline (Steven) Budd, Raymond Bazin (Carrie), Myriam Vaillant (Cody), Danielle Vaillant, Ryan Rue (Allison), Nicole Vaillant (Brandon), Caressa Vaillant, Bailey Vaillant (Dallas), Joellene (Troy) Collinridge, Samantha (Daniel) Somers, Brittany Twiss, Tiffany (Adam) Phillips, Céline Vaillant (Darren), Candice Vaillant (Ben), Jason Vaillant, Dylan Vaillant and Catherine Vaillant (Sheldon); his great-grandchildren, Cole, Ariel (Chris), Shawna, Taylor, Destiny, Zakk, Lincoln, Quaid, Jayde, Raleigh, Joshua, Mackenzie, Ainsley, Nash, Reece, Bentley, Isabella, Parker, Elizabeth, Jamieson, Aiden, Emma, Caleb and great-great granddaughters Violet and Lily.  He also leaves to mourn his in-laws Maurice Pilloud and Alice Bernard and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Lucien was predeceased by his wife Rose (née Pilloud), his son Denis, his daughter Myriam, his great grandson Joseph, his parents Louis and Berthe Vaillant (née Maury) and his half-brother Georges (Marie) Gougeon, his parents-in-law Joseph and Rachel Pilloud, his in-laws, Albertine (Pierre) Wanlin, Anne-Marie (André) Bibault, Philomène (Gustave) Chaperon, Joseph Pilloud, Florence Pilloud, Thérèse (Gabriel) Bernard, Noël (Yvette) Pilloud, Bernadette (Walter) Syganiec, Arthur Pilloud, Marguerite (Fred Spencer) (Henri Painchaud), Camille Bernard and Cécile (Paul) Rey.

Prayers will be held at Adam’s Funeral Home on Friday, March 4, 2022 at 7:00 pm.

Funeral Service will be held at the St. Denis Roman Catholic Church in Haywood, Manitoba on Saturday, March 5, 2022.  Rosary, video and music at 1:30 pm and Funeral Mass at 2:00 pm.
