Lucille was born on February 4, 1945, and raised on a farm near St. Léon. After obtaining her teaching certificate, she taught at École St. Léon and Somerset Collegiate. In 1964, she married the love of her life, Grégoire Gaudet, and together they operated her family's century farm until their retirement in 2011. In her spare time, Lucille enjoyed gardening, sewing, and traveling. After raising their children, Lucille and Greg travelled extensively visiting some of the most remote areas of the world. They began by touring the seven continents, and in their later years, they spent their winter months along the coast of Costa Rica. Lucille was very active in the community, sitting on many committees including the Filles D’Isabelle and the Comité Culturel and serving as the Somerset Parish Choir Director for several years. With declining health, Lucille moved to the Foyer Notre Dame in 2019. The highlight of her time in her final home was when Greg moved to the Foyer to be with her in 2021. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to all the healthcare professionals that provided amazing care and support to Lucille throughout the years.
