James “Lynn” Campbell

Peacefully on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at the Prairie View Lodge in Pilot Mound, Manitoba, Lynn Campbell of Swan Lake, Manitoba passed away at the age of 78 years.

He leaves to mourn his beloved wife of 55 years, Geraldine Campbell (née Van De Kerckhove), his children, Tracy-Ann (Curtis) Plaitin, Grant (Loretta) Campbell and Travis (Kelley) Campbell; grandchildren, Nathaniel, Colby, Coltyn, Sylena, James, Sierra and Katrina.  He is also survived by his brother Malcolm Campbell, and by his brothers and sisters in-law, Doreen Geirnaert

Garry (Irene) Van De Kerckhove, Lorraine (Rene) Roels as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Lynn was predeceased by his parents James and Mabel (née Harman) Campbell, his parents-in-law, Caesar and Imelda (née Timmerman) Van De Kerckhove and his brothers-in-laws, Antoine Geirnaert, Gerard Van De Kerckhove and Larry Van De Kerckhove.

Lynn was born April 20, 1944 to James Daniel and Mabel Campbell.  He grew up on a farm with his parents and his brother Malcom.  He attended school at Oak Hill and Swan Lake school.  He worked for JJ Hamilby Mills, he then farmed.  After that he did carpentry work, he worked on Swan Lake First Nations and town maintenance for Swan Lake.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, playing bien, Belgian bowling and most importantly-his family.

An evening visitation will be held at Adam’s Funeral Home on Friday, December 2, 2022 at 7:30 p.m.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at the St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church at 2:00pm with Minister Rev. Chewe Mulenga officiating.

Memorial donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to CancerCare Manitoba.
