Lynn Elder
(née Cabernel)
Our beloved wife, mother, sister and friend, passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at the Riverview Health Centre at the age of 57 years.
She will be loving remembered by her husband Darrell, her two daughters Alundra (Matt) Foderaro and Natasha Elder and her soon to arrive first grandchild. She also leaves to mourn her passing her siblings, Daniel Cabernel (Kim), Diane Marginet, Denis (Danielle) Cabernel and Doris (Sam) Hofer; her in-laws, Larry (Barb) Elder, Sandra Elder, Patricia Stacey and Sydney (Brian) Cox along with numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Lynn was predeceased by her parents Gaston and Thérèse Cabernel, her parents-in-law Bryson and Lucille Elder, her triplet siblings Leo, Leona and Leonel, her brothers-in-law Donny Marginet and Clive Stacey and her nephew Jeff Cabernel.
Our Mother was an extraordinary woman, a true beacon of kindness and strength. She possessed an unwavering generosity, always ready to lend a helping hand, even to strangers. Her passion for giving extended to her community, where she diligently crafted quilts for a women's shelter alongside her beloved cousin. A skilled and respected professional, she dedicated herself to her career with unwavering determination. Her home was a gathering place, filled with laughter and the aroma of delicious meals she lovingly prepared for family and friends who traveled from far and wide to visit.
Beyond her professional and social life, she embraced a vibrant and active lifestyle. She nurtured a flourishing garden, cherished her pets, and found joy in simple pleasures like cheering on the Jets, playing bingo, and spending precious time with her loved ones. We are who we are today because of her enduring influence. Her selfless spirit, her unwavering strength, and her love shaped us into the people we are. This cruel disease, however, disregarded all that she was – her kindness, her strength, her vibrant life. We mourn the loss of our beloved mother and grieve for the countless joys she brought to the world. Though she is no longer with us, her memory remains a source of comfort and inspiration. We cherish every moment we shared with her and pray for her eternal peace.
