Anne-Marie and family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped in making Marc’s mass and celebration a beautiful memory.
Thank you for all kind gestures big or small such as offering your condolences, prayers, trees or even helping to set up the church or hall.
A special thank you to Father Le Gal and the Guyot family for the mass.
Take care and let us continue to do gestures of love as Marc would want.
Marc Colin Dureault
January 30, 1959- July 2, 2024
Marc, better known as Fox to his friends and Bear to his wife Anne-Marie, passed away peacefully at Boundary Trails Health Centre after a courageous battle with cancer.
Marc grew up in Fannystelle, MB with his siblings Réal, Alain and Nicole. He farmed with his parents then took up heavy duty mechanics, which came in handy while living his dream as a full-time farmer. Proudly, Dureault Farms continues today as JR Bros. led by his two sons.
Marc married his childhood sweetheart, Anne-Marie on April 28, 1984. Together, they had five children: Julie, Rachelle, Richard, Jérémie and Joelle. He was extremely proud of his kids and grandkids; Arianne, Zola, Emeric, Liv, Lexi and Sadie.
The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Marc. He loved adventure whether it was on family vacations, road trips to Boise & McCall, Idaho, snowmobile trips with his buddies, traveling with his wife (Hawaii was his favorite) and those rides on his Harley Davidson Fat Boy. That smile, laugh, and loving personality was contagious to everyone he crossed paths with. Marc always took one day at a time and lived by his motto of: Be kind. Be amazing. Be grateful. Repeat.
Marc will be dearly missed by his wife and children, the extended Dureault and Legault families and all his friends.
The family would like to thank the incredible staff at CancerCare (Health Sciences Centre/Boundary Trails). We are especially thankful for the kindness and compassion shown to Marc from the medical staff and Palliative Team at Boundary Trails Health Centre.
A church service will be held in Marc’s honour at the Fannystelle Church on Saturday, July 6th, 2024 at 3 pm, all are welcome. A private family interment will follow for Marc and Anne-Marie’s siblings and families.
A public celebration of life will be held the following Saturday, July 13, 2024 at 1 pm at the Starbuck Community Hall, with lunch to follow.
Both services will be available to view via Live Streaming. If you would like your name to appear in the guestbook please email your name to office@afh.ca
