Peacefully at the Notre Dame Foyer on Friday December 31, 2004, Mr. Marcel Encontre of St. Lupicin, Manitoba passed away at the age of 85 years.
He leaves to mourn his passing 3 sisters: Augustine Encontre of Notre Dame, Berthe Baron of Langley, B.C. and Blandine (Carlo) D'Angiolo of Winnipeg; 2 brothers: François (Gertrude) Encontre of St. Pierre and Martial Encontre of Notre Dame; 2 brothers-in-law Médard Rossier of Notre Dame and Gianni Favaro of Winnipeg; and numerous nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Azarie and Marie (nee Rousset); 5 sisters: Genevieve Rossier, Gertrude Favaro, Jeannette Encontre, Léa and Anna; and by 4 brothers: Cyprien, Jean-Baptiste, Joseph and Bart.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Notre Dame Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday January 5, 2005 at 2 p.m. with Father Alphonse Bongo officiating. Interment to follow in the St. Lupicin Cemetery.
