As she grew older, many of life's greatest values were instilled in her; her catholic faith, respect and kindness. These values that she passed onto her own children. She married Gerry De Ruyck in 1962 and they shared 60 years of marriage working side by side on the family farm, raising their children and sharing  many good times. Her sense of humour always caused a good laugh. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and her home was always open with homecooked meals and fresh baking.
