Marina Lesage of Oak Bluff, Manitoba, passed away peacefully at her residence at the age of 42 years, after a short, intense journey with cancer.

She leaves to mourn her husband Eric, her children Joseph and Emma, her parents George and Sheila Sanders, her brothers and sisters, Mark (Tracy) Sanders, Alison (Lane Collins), Sharon (Vincent) Zettler, Julie (Georg) Ridder, Christine (Daniel) Ronceray, Nicole (Christopher) Krapp, Louise, and Elaine (Felix) Bruewer as well as her nieces and nephews, Rose (Quinn) Fulton, Gregory (Olivia) Sanders, Aaron (Carmen) Sanders, Cecilia, Vincent, Dominic, Augustus, Veronica, Basil, Celina, Harrison, Xavier, Evan, Andrea, Felicity, Pierce, Vivienne, Hendrik, Hana, Paul, Nora, Kyle, Lauren and Brooklyn and her great niece and nephew, Eleanor and Lochlan.  Also left to mourn her passing are her father-in-law Maurice (Lisa) Lesage, her sister-in-law Jennifer (Richard) Steinbeisser and brother-in-law Len Stocker.

Marina was predeceased by her grandparents Michel and Martha (nee Van Den Bosch) Ketsman and Maurice and Gerarda (nee Devloo) Sanders and by her mother-in-law Deanna Lesage (nee Driscoll).

Marina lived a simple life, being a stay-at-home mom with 2 young kids. She loved being outdoors, and admiring what nature has to offer - shells on the beaches of Gimli, flowers in the ditches of gravel roads, deer, coyotes. Marina was always on the lookout for pretty rocks to collect and show the kids. She also really enjoyed the gardens at The Leaf in Winnipeg.

If you couldn’t find Marina in the house drawing or painting - flowers were her favourite to work on - you’d find her out on a long walk on a road somewhere or around the yard, even in the cold of winter.

She will be forever loved and deeply missed.

Funeral Service will be celebrated at Mary, Mother of the Church, 85 Kirkbridge Drive in Winnipeg, Manitoba on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 with Recitation of the Rosary at 10:00am, Funeral Mass at 10:30am and lunch to follow. A private family interment will be held in the Oak Bluff Cemetery.
