Marshall (Putze) Johnson

Peacefully at the Boundary Trails Health Centre on Thursday, July 10, 2014, Mr. Marshall Johnson of Fannystelle, Manitoba passed away at the age of 80 years.

He leaves to mourn his loving wife Vivian (née Nadeau), four children: Marlin (Karen) Johnson, Kim (Fred) Johnson, Shelley (Brent) Hallick and Stacey (Mark) Braun; six grandchildren: Harley, Justin, Justine, Dylan, Oscar and Oliver. He also leaves to mourn his sisters Arlie (Jim) Whitman and Melba (Walter) Kruschel as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Marshall was predeceased by his grandson Morgan Charles Johnson.

Dad grew up and lived all his life on the homestead in Fannystelle. His curiosity of how things worked began as a child and continued right until the very end. He would always be building or remodelling various pieces of farm equipment to the smallest of household items. He was fondly remembered as saying “ Don’t throw that away, I can fix it”. He battled a tough disease right to the very end and for that we are all extremely proud of his bravery and courage.

The family would like to sincerely thank the Deer Lodge Centre, ALS Society, Homecare, Palliative Care workers and the Boundary Trails Palliative Care Unit.

Funeral Services will be held in the Trinity Lutheran Church in Starbuck, Manitoba on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. followed by Interment in the Starbuck Cemetery with Father Armand Le Gal officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the ALS Society of Manitoba 493 Madison St, Winnipeg, MB R3J 1J2.

Adam’s Funeral Home of Notre Dame de Lourdes, Manitoba in care of arrangements. Phone 248-2201 or 1-888-400-2326. www.afh.ca
