Peacefully at the Notre Dame Foyer on Friday, April 20, 2012, Mr. Martial Encontre of St. Lupicin, Manitoba passed away at the age of 82 years.
He leaves to mourn his passing one sister Blandine D'Angiolo of Winnipeg and one brother François (Gertrude) Encontre of St. Pierre; 2 brothers-in-law Médard Rossier of Notre Dame and Gianni Favaro of Winnipeg as well as numerous nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.
Martial was predeceased by his parents Azarie and Marie (née Rousset); 7 sisters: Berthe Baron, Augustine, Genevieve Rossier, Gertrude Favaro, Jeannette Encontre, Léa and Anna and by 5 brothers: Cyprien, Marcel, Jean-Baptiste, Joseph, and Bart.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Notre Dame Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at 2 p.m. with Father Armand Le Gal officiating. Interment to follow in the St. Lupicin Cemetery.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Lourdéon Wellness Centre, 51 Rodgers St, Notre Dame de Lourdes, MB R0G 1M0.
