Michael Lippens passed away peacefully at his home on April 9, 2026, surrounded by his three daughters after walking his journey with glioblastoma with unwavering faith and hope. He leaves behind a life defined by devotion to family, hard work, and deep faith.
Michael was predeceased by his beloved wife, Brenda Lippens, his mother Celina Lippens, and his father Gerard Lippens. He is survived by his brother Gary (Lorraine) Lippens, his sister Denise (Glen) Walleyn, his daughters Lindsey Lippens, Leanne Lippens, and Lucinda (Troy) Alarie, his cherished grandchildren Jordyn, Haylee, Luke, and Scarlett, and many beloved nephews, nieces, and godchildren.
Michael shared a deep bond with his wife Brenda, that was built upon love, partnership and mutual respect. His family will never forget how he stood by her through her hardest and final months, a true reflection of his faith and love. Michael was a proud, caring and very present father to his daughters, who he made known to them, were the light of his life. He deeply adored his grandchildren, always present for every school concert, soccer game, and difficult times when a Grandpa’s love was needed.
Michael dedicated much of his life to farming alongside his brother, Gary, embracing the rhythms of the land with patience and resilience. His gentle hand and calm demeanor were evidenced by how quiet his cattle were. His livelihood reflected not only a strong work ethic, but his deep appreciation for creation and the honest life it provided. In addition to his life as a farmer, Michael served his community as a funeral director at Budz Funeral Home, followed by many years as part of the loving team of Adam’s Funeral Home where he took great pride in offering compassion, dignity and comfort to families during their most difficult times. His steady presence and kind heart made a lasting impact on many.
A man of profound Catholic faith, Michael lived his beliefs daily, with humility and generosity. His faith guided his actions, shaped his character, and was a source of comfort and inspiration to those around him. Michael was so honoured and cherished as a sacristan at Mary Mother of the Church for many years. He would greet everyone with his inviting smile and filled the church with warmth and love. Michael developed a strong bond with all his church family who remained a constant beacon of light for him until the very end.
Michael will be remembered for his gentle spirit, his humour, his dedication to his family, and his steadfast commitment to serving others. He leaves behind a legacy of love, faith and integrity that will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
Prayers service will be held at Adam’s Funeral Home on Thursday, April 23, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. followed by viewing until 2:00 p.m.
Funeral Service will be held on Monday, May 4, 2026, at Mary Mother of the Church, 85 Kirkbridge Drive. Rosary and Eulogy will begin at 10:30 a.m. followed by Mass at 11:00 a.m. The service will be Live Streamed at www.afh.ca.
