Michelle Hoger (née Turenne)

It is with great sadness that the family announce the sudden passing of Michelle Hoger, after a long journey with Alzheimer’s disease, on September 26, 2025 at the Notre-Dame Foyer, at the age of 72 years.

She will be forever loved by her husband of 52 years, Jim Hoger; her daughter Carolyn (Rob) Patenaude; her grandchildren, Riley, Julia and Cole, and her beloved dog Sadie. She also leaves to mourn her siblings, Jeanne (Maurice) Ruest, Rene (Pauline) Turenne, Rachelle Smith, Suzanne Turenne (Jean-Luc Lavigne), Pierre (Joanne) Turenne, Monique (Brent) Hutchinson; her in-laws, Lorraine Turenne, Ronald (Lynne) Hoger, Janice Rees (Mike Berney) and Patrick (Carol) Hoger, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Michelle was predeceased by her son Glen Hoger, her parents Denis and Lucille Turenne, her siblings Bernard (Vivian) Turenne, Gerald Turenne, Marc Turenne, her brother-in-law Cam Smith and Trevor Rees, and niece Andrea Rees.

The family wishes to extend their thanks and gratitude to the doctors and nurses at the Tiger Hills Health Centre and the Notre-Dame Foyer, for their exceptional care and compassion during Michelle’s journey.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Treherne Community Centre on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at 2:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Manitoba.
