With sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Noel Pilloud on October 14, 2020, at the age of 90 years.

Left to cherish his memory are his three children, Marc (Rose Mary), Roseline (Ron), Colette (Norman), his seven grandchildren: Antoine and Christophe; Estée and Benoit; Rebecca, Alec, and Elizabeth; and two great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his wife Yvette (née Rondeau) and a granddaughter, Danielle. He also leaves to mourn, his brother Maurice, sister Alice Bernard, brother-in-law Lucien Vaillant, sister-in-law Hilda Lebeau, brother-in-law Damien Rondeau, and several nieces and nephews.

Noel was born and raised in Notre Dame de Lourdes where he and his 12 siblings learned the values of family and hard work. Noel found employment in the laundry department at the Sanatorium in Ninette. Marrying the love of his life Yvette, and moving to Winnipeg he continued to work in laundry departments at the Grace Hospital, became manager at the Taché Hospital, and finally retiring after 26 years, from the St. Boniface Hospital.  As a young family we enjoyed many scenic holidays. Travelling together Mom and Dad met long lost relatives that Mom would locate through her genealogical research. Noel and Yvette also enjoyed Square and Round dancing several times a week in different clubs, travelling often to attend Jamborees until Mom’s passing in 1998.

Noel aimait être entouré de sa famille. Nous gardons de bons souvenirs du temps passé ensemble, ce qui était très important pour lui. Pépère aura toujours une place spéciale dans le coeur de ses petits-enfants car pour lui, ils étaient le centre de son univers.

The family greatly appreciates the kindness his caregivers at Actionmarguerite St. Vital have shown, helping him and the family navigate with his dementia.

A Private Funeral Service will be held at Adam’s Funeral Home on Saturday, October 2, 2021.  Video Tribute at 12:45pm followed by Funeral Mass at 1:00pm with Father Alain Guenou officiating.  Interment will take place in the Notre Dame Parish Cemetery.  The service will be available to view via Live Streaming.

Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to a charity of your choice.

He slipped out the opened window, his journey home begun.
