Peacefully at her residence on Sunday, December 24, 2006, Mrs. Novia Grenier of St. Leon, Manitoba passed away at the age of 86 years.
She leaves to mourn her passing six sons: Alexandre (Irène), Gérald (Jeanne), Marcel, Ronald, Émile (Monique) and Guy (Lise); three daughters: Anita (Hubert) Desrochers, Jacqueline Grenier and Nicole (Mark) Lebeau; one daughter-in-law Agnes VanDamme; 16 grandchildren: Diane (Murray), Yvette (Richard), Denise (Derek), Gilbert (Rhonda), Daniel (Kelly), Doris (Mike), Stéphane (Julie), Michelle, Mariette (Marty), Lisa (Ken), Ginette (Craig), Nicole (Ken), Robert (Michelle), Guylaine (Hubert), Manon (Martin) and Rhéanne; 22 great-grandchildren: Andrea (Matthew), Trevor (Lisa), Kristen, Dylan, Shelby, Katrina, Cody, Kayla, Justin, Jennifer, Julia, Bruce, Claire, Carlee, Ashley, Daira, Logan, Jayden, Taylor, Emma, Léa, Darrian, Patrick, Dominique, Chantal and Marc. Novia also leaves to mourn her passing four sisters-in-law: Denise Moreau, Mary Moreau, Marthe Grenier and Claire Grenier; one brother-in-law Victor Grenier; and one aunt Ludivine Lemieux.
She was predeceased by her husband Lucien in 2005; one daughter Norma in 1944; one son Denis in 1975; two granddaughters: Estelle in 1980 and Brigitte in 1990; one great-grandson Riley in 1997; her parents Alexandre Moreau and Yvonne (née Labossiére); and by her in-laws: Félix Grenier and Marie-Louise (née Caillé)
Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the St. Leon Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, December 30, 2006 at 10:30, preceded by Recitation of the Rosary at 10 a.m. with Father Gabriel Levesque officiating. Interment to follow in the Parish Cemetery.
