Paul Cenerini

C’est avec une grande tristesse que nous annonçons le décès de Paul Albert Cenerini, le 20 avril à l’âge de 78 ans.

Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse bien-aimée de presque 60 ans, Yvonne (née de Rocquigny), ses enfants Yvette (Fred), Rachel (Terry) et Normand (Michelle), ainsi que ses petits-enfants Joël, Vincent, Emily (Ethan), Paige (Justin) et Sophie (Miguel). Lui survivent aussi ses frères Norbert (Henriette) et Rhéal (Carol) et ses sœurs Lucille (Tom) et Lorette (Rob) et son beau-frère Marcel Gosselin, ainsi que les frères et sœurs à Yvonne : Madeleine Pelletier, André (Diane), Philippe, René, Raymond (Nicole), Arthur, Annette, Gisèle Lachance (Claude), Jacqueline Hiebert (James), Béatrice Patton (Daryl), et Ken Orr (Olivia Stadnyk). Il fut précédé dans la tombe par ses parents Léon et Cécile (Gaborieau) Cenerini, ses beaux-parents François et Marie-Rose (Allec) de Rocquigny, sa sœur Michelle Cenerini, sa belle-sœur Marie Orr et son beau-frère Jacques Pelletier.

Il accordait une grande importance à l’éducation en français au Manitoba, et s’est dédié pour plus de 30 ans à l’enseignement et à la direction d’école. Il a travaillé fort pour protéger et promouvoir la culture francophone, en tant que membre de plusieurs comités. Il était tellement fier d’avoir aider à l’établissement du centre Albert-Gaillot et à la construction du nouvel hôpital de Lourdes.

Au lieu de fleurs, on peut faire un don commémoratif à CancerCare Manitoba et/ou la Fondation de Santé Notre Dame.

Les funérailles seront célébrées à l’église de la paroisse de Notre Dame de Lourdes, vendredi le 24 avril 2026. Eulogie et hommage vidéo à 13h30, suivis de la messe des funérailles. Les funérailles seront diffusées en direct www.afh.ca .

De la part de ma famille, j' aimerais sincèrement remercier tous ceux qui ont exprimé leur amour et qui ont offert leur soutien lors du décès de mon cher mari, Paul. Votre présence, vos consolations et vos prières ont touché nos coeurs dans ce temps difficile. It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Paul Albert Cenerini, at the age of 78.

He leaves behind his beloved wife of almost 60 years Yvonne (de Rocquigny), his children Yvette (Fred), Rachel (Terry) and Normand (Michelle), and his grandchildren Joël, Vincent, Emily (Ethan), Paige (Justin) and Sophie (Miguel). He also leaves to mourn his brothers Norbert (Henriette) and Rhéal (Carol), and his sisters Lucille (Tom) and Lorette (Rob) and his brother-in-law Marcel Gosselin, as well as Yvonne’s brothers and sisters: Madeleine Pelletier, André (Diane), Philippe, René, Raymond (Nicole), Arthur, Annette, Gisèle Lachance (Claude), Jacqueline Hiebert (James), Béatrice Patton (Daryl), and Ken Orr (Olivia Stadnyk). He was predeceased by his parents Léon and Cécile (Gaborieau) Cenerini, his in-laws François and Marie-Rose (Allec) de Rocquigny, his sister Michelle Cenerini, his sister-in-law Marie Orr and his brother-in-law Jacques Pelletier.

He placed great importance on French education in Manitoba and dedicated himself for over 30 years to teaching and school administration. He worked hard to protect and promote the Francophone culture, as a member of several committees. He was so proud to have helped establish the Centre Albert-Gaillot, and to have played a key role in building the new hospital in Notre Dame.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba and/or Notre Dame Health Foundation.

The funeral will be held at the Roman Catholic Church in Notre Dame de Lourdes on Friday, April 24, 2026. Memorial service will begin at 1:30 pm, followed by Mass. The service will be Live Streamed at www.afh.ca.

On behalf of my family, I want to express my greatest gratitude to everyone who showed love and support on the passing of my beloved husband, Paul. Your presence, your comforting words and prayers have touched our hearts during this difficult time. We deeply appreciated everyone who sent flowers, cards, food, and messages of condolences. Thank You to the staff of the Notre Dame Hospital and the Foyer Notre Dame for the good care he received. Please know that your love and kindness brought us great comfort and will always be remembered.
