Peyton Chantal Harling
née Chantal Aimee Sylvie Sibilleau
November 27, 1981 – September 22, 2010
It is with deep sadness that we announce the tragic and untimely passing of our beloved little one, Chantal. Surrounded by loved ones, and wrapped in the arms of her husband Kevin, Chantal slipped away to her eternal rest on September 22, 2010.
Chantal will be lovingly remembered by her husband Kevin Harling, mother and father Nicole and Roger Sibilleau, brother Colin Sibilleau and sister-in-law Megan Banman. Also left to mourn her loss are her grandmothers Clémence Roch and Angèle Sibilleau, as well as a large extended family and many dear friends. Deeply affected by Chantal’s absence are her 5 “babies” Riley, Allegra, Baroness, Dare and Chase. These little Shih Tzu puppies were Chantal’s joy and lifeline during the last difficult years of her short life.
And what a life it was! What joy she brought when she entered the world on November 27, 1981! She was the spirited and playful little sister of Colin and the pride of her Mom and Dad. With a life-sustaining transplant in 1983, Chantal began her journey in life with great gusto and enthusiasm. Chantal “seized the day.”
With a desire for adventure, Chantal joined the Conklin Shows in her 18 th year. She travelled through Canada and the United States, soaking up life. Upon returning from her travels, she attended Red River College and graduated on the Dean’s Honour Roll. For 2 years Chantal worked as an architectural, engineering technician. She was a natural at this and one of her gold medal home designs is still available for construction. Tragically, in 2007, Chantal’s short career was struck to an end. It was at this time that Chantal was treated at HSC and never fully recovered from this time forward. What a tragedy for one so young and with such a desire for life.
In spite of all her troubles, Chantal filled her life with all she could. She wanted to live each day as if it were her last. She married her loving husband Kevin on August 30, 2008, got her motorcycle licence, moved to Alberta, took up photography, travelled the mountains and planned for a rich life. This didn’t happen. On September 22, Chantal passed away. Brave, feisty, little “Chancy” could not win this battle.
To honour her life, a Memorial Service will be held at the Notre Dame Catholic Church on Saturday, October 16, 2010 at 2 p.m. with Rev Heather Grobb officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, MB R3T 0R3.
Blessings to all those who loved and supported our dear angel. With eternal gratitude… Thank you.

Rest in peace dear little one.
