Ralph Piché

July 4, 1949 — May 29, 2026

Peacefully at the St. Boniface Hospital, Ralph Piché passed away on May 29, 2026.

Ralph was born in Winnipeg, MB, on July 4, 1949, to Bruno and Béatrice Piché. He grew up on the family farm in Fannystelle, where hard work shaped him early and stayed with him throughout his life.

On October 8, 1971, Ralph married Sylvie Allard of St‑François‑Xavier, and together they made their home in Fannystelle, where they welcomed their four children.

Ralph was an active and dedicated member of his community. He coached ringette, hockey and power skating for his kids, served as a church trustee, and took part in many local curling bonspiels. Social by nature and an avid storyteller, he could always be counted on to bring humor and a bit of entertainment to any gathering.

He enjoyed playing cards, travelling, and spending time with family and friends. His travels took him across Canada, the United States, through Europe, and to several cherished winters in Arizona.

Over the last twelve years, Ralph faced numerous health challenges, including poor eyesight and kidney disease that required regular dialysis. Through it all, he met each day with strength and determination. He was lovingly supported and exceptionally cared for, especially by his wife Sylvie and his daughter Jeanine, whose devotion brought him comfort and dignity throughout his journey.

The family would also like to express their sincere thanks to the volunteer drivers who helped transport Ralph to his dialysis appointments. Their generosity and care made this part of life a little easier for all involved. Ralph especially enjoyed the visits and the chance to share stories and conversation during the rides.

Ralph was predeceased by his parents, Bruno and Béatrice Piché, and his in‑laws, Laurent and Laurette Allard.

He leaves to mourn his wife, Sylvie; his children Jeanine, Marc (Sara) and their sons Alexandre and Benjamin; Jim (Kestrel) and their sons Bruno and Elijah; and Lise (Richard) and their sons Jase and Weston. He is also survived by his sister Lorraine (Ray) and their children Phil (Kara) and their sons Sam and Jack; and Jocelyne as well as many brothers‑ and sisters‑in‑law, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Thursday, June 11 at 2:00 p.m. at the St‑Eustache Hall in St‑Eustache, MB.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada.
