Raymond Marie Joseph Comte

Peacefully on Sunday, February 6, 2022, Raymond Comte of Notre Dame de Lourdes passed away at the Notre Dame Foyer at the age of 95 years.

To mourn him, he leaves one sister-in-law Céline Comte; special cousins, Marthe, Corinne (Neil) and Lucie (Tom); plus numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Raymond was predeceased by his parents Jean and Virginie (Durand) Comte; his siblings, Auguste (Céline) (Suzanne), Élise, Paul (Cécile), Joseph (Thérèse) (Marie), Michel, Léon (Agnès), Louis, Albert, Solange (Joseph) and a special cousin Norbert Durand.

He was born on July 21, 1926 on the farm at NE 25-6-9. Being part of a large family, he enjoyed playing baseball with his siblings. He took pleasure curling with Louis, travelling to Hawaii with his friend Marcel, playing cards and watching sports on television. He was also very knowledgeable in numerous topics and was known to have an almanac nearby.

Raymond lived with Élise and Louis and appreciated all of the conversations, stories, discussions, and debates with them. He was very humble but, at the same time, very proud of his family’s achievements. His health allowed him to stay on the family farm his whole life until he sold it in 2020.

The family wishes to thank the medical staff of the Notre Dame Hospital and the Notre Dame Foyer for their excellent care.

Funeral Service will be held at the Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church on Saturday February 12, 2022. Music, Rosary and Video at 1:30 p.m. followed by Mass at 2 p.m. (Proof of vaccination required to attend.)

Paisiblement au Foyer Notre-Dame, le dimanche 6 février 2022, Raymond Comte de Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes est décédé à l’âge de 95 ans.

Il laisse dans le deuil une belle-sœur Céline Comte, des cousines spéciales Marthe, Corinne (Neil), Lucie (Tom), ainsi que de nombreux neveux, nièces et amis.

Raymond a été précédé par ses parents Jean et Virginie (Durand) Comte, par ses frères Auguste (Céline) (Suzanne), Paul (Cécile), Joseph (Thérèse) (Marie), Michel, Léon (Agnès), Albert et Louis, ses sœurs Élise, Solange (Joseph) et un cousin spécial Norbert Durand.

La famille désire remercier l’équipe médicale de l’hôpital Notre-Dame et du Foyer Notre-Dame pour les bons soins.

Les funérailles auront lieu le 12 février 2022 en l’église de Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes.  Musique et vidéo auront lieu à 13h30 suivi de la messe à 14h00. (Preuve de vaccination requise pour participer.)
