Peacefully at the Notre Dame Foyer on Monday, October 16, 2023, Mrs. Rita Grenier passed away at the age of 92 years

She is survived by her children, Hélène (Roger) Delorme, Raymond (Susan) Grenier, Suzanne (Cliff) Kehler and Lillian Grenier (Terry Kaluzny); her grandchildren, Allan (Shaunalee), Phillip (Sarah), Catherine (Jean-Pierre), Paul (Nadine), Michael (Melissa), Melissa (Isidro), Jeanine (Wes), Jocelyn (John), Trevor, David (Kristen), Shawn (Helen), Annette (Randy), Tyler (Vanessa) and Jennifer (Jon), Hilary (Jason), Erica (Blake); her great-grandchildren, Arielle, Pierce, Dinieka, Cohen, Neala, Sawyer, Samuel, Isabelle, Mackenzie, Natasha, Evander, Aubrielle, Kaitlyn (Scott), Xavier, Logan, Phoenix, Hunter, Mikayla, Hannah, Heidi, Jane, Everett, Eveline, Thibaut, Brandi, Abigail, Dominique, Megan (Michael), Derek, Andrea, Nicholas, Brent, Paloma, Serena, Alex, Colton and Finley. She is also survived by sisters, Laurette and Antoinette and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Rita was predeceased by her husband Armand, her son George, her grandson Louis, and by her brothers and sisters, Leo, Blanche, Laurent, Gerard, Maurice, Irenée, Hector, Simone, Florence, Marie, Aime and Lucille.

Our mother was someone that captured many people’s hearts and the character she reflected to us was a gift from God.  Whether it was her feistiness, determination, strength, honesty, generosity or loving character, Rita left an impression with those who knew her.  The greatest gifts she left us are faith, hope, love, and that God is always with us through life’s struggles.  We will remember many things about her, especially her love of gardening and her love of baking.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 20, 2023 at the St. Léon Roman Catholic Church. Memorial Service beginning at 3:30 pm followed by Mass at 4:00 pm with Father Marcel Carrière officiating.
