Peacefully at the Notre Dame Foyer on Monday, July 27, 2015, Mrs. Rita Talbot of Notre Dame de Lourdes, Manitoba passed away at the age of 81 years.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 64 years, Leopold Talbot; her children, Angèle (Norbert) Grenier, Lorette (Peter) Sheffield, Raymond (Joanne), Claire (Norman) Claeys, Aline (Bob) Winters, Gérald (Yvette), Paul (Coalleen), Alfred (Marie), Gilbert, Yvette (Eric) Claeys and Lorraine (Paul Lacroix); as well as 33 grandchildren, 52 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

She also leaves to mourn her passing one brother Emile Cenerini; three sisters, Anna Talbot, Marie Durand and Denise (Pierre) Badiou; one sister-in-law Gail Cenerini; and numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was predeceased by her parents Auguste and Emelia (née Paulhus) Cenerini; two granddaughters Meranda Talbot and Amanda Claeys; one sister Therese (Andre) Talbot; one brother Albert Cenerini; one sister-in-law Agnes Cenerini; and by two brothers-in-law Andre Durand and Roger Durand.

Funeral services will be held in the Notre Dame de Lourdes Roman Catholic Church on Friday, July 31, 2015. Prayers, eulogy and video tribute at 9:30 am followed by Funeral Mass at 10:00 am with Father Alain Guenou officiating. Interment will take place after Mass at the Notre Dame Parish Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Manitoba CancerCare, Canadian Diabetes Association, or to a charity of ones choice.

In tears we saw you sinking, We watched you fade away. You suffered much in silence, you fought so hard to stay. You faced your task with courage, your spirit did not bend, but still you kept on fighting until the very end. God saw you getting tired when a cure was not to be. So, He put His arms around you and whispered, “Come with me”. So when we saw you sleeping so peaceful, free from pain. We could not wish you back to suffer that again.
