Robert Grenier

It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Robert Grenier at the age of 78 years on May 18, 2026 at Boundary Trails Health Centre.

He leaves behind his beloved wife of 54 years, Irma (née Labossière); his children, Rhéal (Mélanie), Bernard (Breena), Line (Scott) and his son-in-law Scott Vint; his grandchildren, Michaël (Taylor), Nicholas (Anique), Alexandre (Grace), Mya, Mason and his great-granddaughter, Olive. He also leaves to mourn; his siblings, Viola (Denis) Caillier, Hubert (Monique) Grenier and Thérèse (Adrien) Caillier; his in-laws, Paul Aminot, Agnès Grenier, Ronald Labossière (Lorraine Tetrault), Adrienne (Tom) Foster, Gérard (Vicki) Labossière, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Robert was predeceased by his daughter Claudette, his parents, Victor and Florida (née Moreau); his parents-in-law, Albert and Lucienne Labossière; his sister, Clémence Aminot; his brother, Fernand Grenier; and his in-laws, Anita (Normand) Harrison and Norbert Labossière.

A loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, farmer and entrepreneur, Robert was a tireless worker for his family and his community. Deeply committed, he balanced it all, dedicating himself to others. Nothing gave him more pleasure than spending time with his family, friends and his coffee buddies, fishing, canoeing, camping and various outings with his brothers and sisters, etc.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the CancerCare Manitoba.

Funeral Mass will be held at the St. Léon Catholic Church in St. Léon, Manitoba, on Friday, May 22, 2026 at 11:00 am. The Service will be Live Streamed at www.afh.ca The interment will take place at a later date.

Robert a été précédé dans la mort par sa fille Claudette, ses parents, Victor et Florida (née Moreau) ; ses beaux-parents, Albert et Lucienne Labossière ; sa sœur, Clémence Aminot ; son frère, Fernand Grenier ; et ses beaux-frères et sa belle-soeur, Anita (Normand) Harrison et Norbert Labossière.

Époux, père, agriculteur et entrepreneur, Robert était un travaillant dévoué pour sa famille et sa communauté. Profondément engagé, il savait tout concilier tout en se consacrant aux autres. Rien ne lui faisait plus plaisir que de passer du temps avec sa famille et ses amis du café, de pêche, faire du canot, camper et profiter de diverses sorties avec ses frères et ses sœurs.

Au lieu de fleurs, des dons commémoratifs peuvent être faits à CancerCare Manitoba.

La messe des funérailles aura lieu à l’église catholique de Saint-Léon le vendredi 22 mai à 11 h. La cérémonie sera diffusée en direct sur www.afh.ca. L'inhumation aura lieu ultérieurement.
