Peacefully at the Notre Dame Foyer on Monday, February 4, 2013, Mr. Roland Jamault of Notre Dame de Lourdes, Manitoba passed away at the age of 84 years.

He leaves to mourn his loving wife Anita (née Dufault), his children: Nicole (Lionel Dion), Gabriel (Viviane), Norbert (Danielle), Myriam (Henrik Lundsgaard), Lucille and Nathalie; 14 grandchildren: Nathalie (Norm), Joël (Yannick), Dominic (Jenn), Sylvie (Maurice), Corinne (Barry), Lisa (Chris), Reyanne, Roxanne (Nico), Justin, Dérik, Zacharie, Geneviève, Sasha and Iféoma; seven great grandchildren: Natasha, Kaliyah, Jaedon, Mya, Victoria, Kierstin and Ella; brothers and sisters: Alice, Sr. Marie-Aimée, Yvette, Suzanne, Edmond (Alice), Albert (Jeanne) and Georges as well as numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Roland was predeceased by his son Laurent, parents Léon and Thérèse (née Comte), brother Guy, sister in law Irene (née Hague) and brother in law Henri Paradis.

Roland was born on October 7, 1928. He worked on his parent’s farm until 1955 when he married and settled on his grandparent’s homestead. Roland enjoyed farming, traveling and gardening. He drove a school bus for many years and was involved in his community. Roland loved meeting people and spending time with his grandchildren.

Prayers will be held at Adam’s Funeral Home on Friday February 8, 2013 at 8 p.m. Funeral Services will be held in the Notre Dame Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, February 9, 2013. Memorial Service at 1:30, Funeral Mass at 2 p.m. with Father Léon Mubikayi officiating.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Notre Dame Foyer for their years of care and compassion for Roland. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Notre Dame Health Foundation (Foyer) Box 190 Notre Dame de Lourdes, MB R0G 1M0.
