Peacefully at the Swan Lake Hospital on Sunday, September 6, 2009, Mr. Ronald Payette (Blackie) of Somerset, Manitoba passed away at the age of 72 years.
Ronald leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Cecile (née Tremblay) and their children: Rose Anne Friesen (Wes) and Rose Lynn Poiron (Jules); two step sons: Daren Van Den Bussche (Bonnie) and Denis Van Den Bussche (Denise); two daughters: Therese McCreery (David) and Simone Major; two sisters: Odile Devloo and Annette Champoux; one brother Roger Payette (Diane); many special grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.
Prayers will be held at Adam’s Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 8, 2009 at 8:30 p.m. with cremation to follow. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Notre-Dame de La Nativité Catholic Church in Somerset, Manitoba on Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at 2 p.m. Interment in the Somerset Parish Cemetery with Father Gabriel Levesque officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Lung Association or to the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation.
