January 30, 1968 – April 24, 2023

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Shelley Cameron-Green. She lost her battle with cancer on Monday April 24, 2023 at Boundary Trails Health Centre.

She leaves to mourn her husband of 13 years Dean Green; her children Brandon and Jolene and her dogs. Her sister Candace (Lloyd) Mousseau, Rhyanna (Doug) Hiebert, her nieces and nephews, Tony (June) Mousseau, Todd (Lindsey), Nick, Brett, Raeden (Karen), Quinlin, Jayce, Caitlin (Kal), Payton, Marcus (Callista), Brody, Lily and Riel and numerous family members.

Shelley was predeceased by her parents Victoria Runearth and Jim Stone, her brother Ryan Runearth, her grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and her precious Allowishus Precious Green.

Shelley loved her gardening, rescuing animals and cooking for the elders. She loved to laugh and joke. Her personality was contagious, and everyone knew when she was in the room. Shelley started Scarlett’s Rescue in 2019. She rescued over 300 animals and with help of the other rescues were able to find good homes for them. She loved to keep in touch with all her special rescue friends. Too many to mention.

Traditional Wake will be held on Friday April 28, 2023 at 4 p.m. at the Swan Lake First Nation Cultural Centre.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday April 29, 2023 with a traditional feast beginning at noon with Grant Cameron officiating.

The family would like to thank Cancer Care Manitoba, Swan Lake First Nation Health Centre, the Swan Lake First Nation Chief and Council, and Boundary Trails Health Centre for the care Shelley received.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Shelley’s name to CancerCare Manitoba, Paws for Serendipity, K9 Advocates, or any animal rescue of your choice.
