Gizhiba Noodin Ahbid was called home by The Creator on Tuesday, November 12, 2013.
He leaves to mourn and be fondly remembered by his sister Gladys Shannacappo; his children Margaret, Malcolm (Lori), Archie (Darlene), Judy, Alma (Loyd), Isabel (Melvin), Harold, Deborah (Richard), Steve (Vera); his daughters-in-law Eleanor and Lorna; his many nieces and nephews, 34 grandchildren, 84 great grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren.
Simon was predeceased by his parents Jim and Maizy, wife Mae, second partner Doris; seven brothers and seven sisters; his sons Herman, James, Kenneth, and Gerald; his sons-in-law Tom and George.
A Traditional Wake will be held at Swan Lake First Nation Hall on Saturday, November 16, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. with Funeral Services on Sunday, November 17, 2013 at 12:00 p.m. Interment to follow at the Indian Springs Cemetery.
