Peacefully at the Lorne Memorial Hospital on Saturday, March 17, 2012, Vernon Soldier, our dear brother and uncle, passed away at the age of 76 years.
He will be lovingly remembered and missed by his sister Hazel, sister in law Louise Soldier, brothers: Fred (Audrey), James (Gloria), Lawrence, Ron (Marina) and Ed, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents Harry and Mary Louise Soldier, three sisters, Mary and his twin sister Beatrice Mousseau and one infant sister, one brother Robert Soldier, two brothers-in-law Alfred Mousseau and Alex Anderson, and by one sister-in-law Gladys McKinney.
A Traditional Wake will be held at the Swan Lake First Nation Hall on Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at 4 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at the Swan Lake First Nation Hall on Wednesday, March 21, 2012 commencing with the Feast at 12 p.m. Interment to follow at the Indian Springs Cemetery.
Active Pallbearers will be Kyle Soldier, Corey Meechas, Cody Soldier, Lance McKay, Robert Paul and Matthew Soldier.
