Yolande Odile Le Roux

Peacefully at the St. Claude Pavilion on Friday, February 26, 2010, Ms. Yolande Le Roux of St. Claude, Manitoba passed away at the age of 76 years.

Yolande leaves to mourn her passing two sisters Yvonne Le Roux and Clémence Le Cunff; one brother Denis Le Roux; one sister-in-law Alice Le Roux; and numerous nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.  Yolande was predeceased by her father Julien in 1946, her mother Mathurine (née Gloux) in 1980; one sister Marie Ange Dupras in 1979; and by two brothers René in 1997 and Armand in 1992.

Yolande was born April 26, 1933 at St. Claude, Manitoba and attended Emberly School.  She lived in Winnipeg and worked as a nurses aide and did housekeeping at the St. Boniface Hospital and Misericordia Hospital.  At the age of 55 years she returned to St. Claude and lived with her family until she moved to the St. Claude Pavilion 10 years ago.  She enjoyed flowers and gardening and loved cats and dogs.  She loved spending time with her family and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Funeral Services will be held in the St. Claude Roman Catholic Church on Thursday, March 4, 2010, with Father Marcel Carrière officiating.  Recitation of the Rosary at 1:30, Funeral Mass at 2 p.m., followed by interment in the Parish Cemetery and lunch at the St. Claude Hall.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Claude Historical Society (Cenotaph Fund), Box 135, St. Claude, MB,  R0G 1Z0.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the doctors and staff of the St. Claude Pavilion for their care and compassion Yolande has received over the last 10 years.
