Alan Woodard

Alan Woodard, aged 73 years, passed away peacefully on the morning of Saturday, December 11, 2021 at the Riverview Health Centre.

Left with broken hearts but fond and cherished memories are his loving wife Rachelle (née Pantel); his mother Solrun Woodard, his sister Kathy Woodard (Derek); his niece Alana and her daughter Tia (Ramon) and their children, Kyrie, Jalen and Aella; his nephew Beau and his son Alex.  He also leaves to mourn his in-laws, Roger (Angele) Pantel, Denis (Anne) Pantel, Gerald (Claudette) Pantel, Simone Khan, Liliane (Ken) Fargey and Marielle Pantel; also Aunt Elsie (Norman) Einarson and Tante Yolande Berard; and numerous nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.

Alan is predeceased by his father Fredrick Woodard; his parents-in-law, Victor and Agnes Pantel; his brothers-in-law, Carlos Khan and Paul Dugas.

Alan, also known as “Woody”, worked most of his career at Manitoba Hydro as an Electronic Technician and that is where he made lifelong friendships with the “Telecontrol Group”. He was a rock for his family, always there for them. Alan and Rachelle spent most of their winters in Panama City Beach, Florida and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina where they made cherished friendships and memories. The family would like to thank everyone for their prayers, love and support. The family would also like to thank Dr. Isabelle Paquin, the staff at CancerCare Manitoba and the staff at the Riverview Health Centre for their kindness and compassion.

Private Funeral Service, by invitation, will be held on Friday, December 17, 2021 at 11 am.  A private interment will take place at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens at a later time.
